An international channel for crossing the border was organized: two men will be tried in the Lviv region

Prosecutors of the Sheptytsky District Prosecutor's Office have sent an indictment to the court regarding two residents of the Volyn and Lviv regions. Both men are accused of facilitating the illegal transportation of individuals across the state border of Ukraine (part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

It has been established that the organizer found a man in one of the “Telegram” communities and offered a pedestrian crossing to Poland outside of the checkpoints. He instructed the conscript on how to avoid control and safely cross the state border. After receiving the agreed amount of 300 US dollars in his crypto wallet, the organizer sent the planned route with coordinates and additional instructions. The remaining amount, 600 US dollars, was paid in cash by the "client" to a resident of Lviv when they were on their way to the departure point.

The driver of the group was detained in early November under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine in a border area shortly after receiving payment for the services. The organizer of the scheme was transferred to Ukraine three days later and detained under Article 615 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

Operational support in the pre-trial investigation is provided by the 7th Border Guard Detachment of the State Border Service of Ukraine.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
