They organized shipping to Moldova and Slovakia. The cases of three residents of Lviv Oblast have been sent to court

Prosecutors of the Lviv Regional and Zolochiv District Prosecutor's Offices have sent indictments to court against three residents of the Lviv region who organized schemes for the illegal transportation of individuals across the state border of Ukraine.

Thus, for 13,000 US dollars, two residents of the Lviv region promised a man to arrange his departure to Moldova. The "client" was to be transported around the checkpoints to the Vinnytsia region, where he would receive detailed instructions for crossing and would be able to cross the border by boat across the river.

Another border crossing channel was organized by the head of one of the public organizations in Lviv region. For 15,000 US dollars, the man was to be transported beyond border control by car to Slovakia.

The traffickers were unable to implement their plan – they were detained by law enforcement officers under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine after receiving the funds.

All the accused are charged with illegal transportation of individuals across the state border of Ukraine (part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). In addition, one of them is additionally charged with the storage of ammunition without the required legal permit (part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Zolochiv District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region, the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region, with operational support from the Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
