Prosecutors, in cooperation with police investigators and cyber police operatives, uncovered and reported suspicions against 9 participants of a criminal organization operating a fraudulent call center in Kryvyi Rih.

According to the investigation, the fraudulent scheme was organized by three residents of Kryvyi Rih. They involved co-executors and operators in its implementation. The perpetrators called citizens, posing as employees of a mobile operator, and under the guise of "improving connectivity," offered to replace their SIM cards.

After obtaining confidential information, they carried out a number reissue, which allowed them to gain access to the victims' banking applications. Subsequently, funds from the citizens' accounts were transferred to controlled accounts and withdrawn in cash or cryptocurrency.

As part of the pre-trial investigation, at least 22 victims have been identified. The total amount of damages exceeds 1.4 million hryvnias.

More than 10 searches have been conducted in the Dnipropetrovsk region. During the investigative actions, computer equipment, mobile phones, bank cards, and cash in both national and foreign currencies were seized.

Nine individuals have been detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Their actions have been classified under Part 1, 2 of Article 255, Part 4 of Article 28, Part 4, 5 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Currently, the issue of choosing preventive measures in the form of detention without the right to bail is being resolved.

The procedural guidance is carried out by the Kryvyi Rih Southern District Prosecutor's Office. The pre-trial investigation is conducted by investigators of the Kryvyi Rih Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region with operational support from the cyber police.
