At the request of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office, a woman suspected of committing treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) has been taken into custody.

According to the investigation, the suspect, communicating with an enemy agent via "Telegram," received instructions to collect and transmit intelligence information about the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine units, other military formations, as well as critical infrastructure facilities in the territory of Odesa and the region.

From April to August 2025, she systematically sent the agent of the Russian Federation geolocations and photos from the Google Maps mapping service with exact coordinates of military medical institutions, border detachments, and other locations.

Law enforcement officers detained the woman at the beginning of October this year. For the committed crime, she faces 15 years of imprisonment or life imprisonment.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings is being conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region. Operational support is provided by employees of the counterintelligence protection department of state interests in the field of information security of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region. 

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
