Present information about military and civilian objects to representatives of the Russian Federation. The Poltava region was exposed and reported suspicion of a third -year student of the school

Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Poltava Regional Prosecutor's Office, a third-year student from one of the educational institutions in Poltava region has been exposed for transferring information about air defense systems, units of the National Guard of Ukraine, and civilian objects to representatives of the Russian special services.

He has been notified of suspicion of committing treason under martial law (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and a preventive measure has been chosen – detention.

According to the investigation, in January 2025, the student received an offer for cooperation for monetary reward from employees of the Russian special services via the messenger "Telegram." After being recruited, the student purchased, activated, and sent over 260 SIM cards of Ukrainian mobile operators to Russia through other countries. Subsequently, about two dozen SIM cards were found by investigators among the debris of strike drones during the documentation of the consequences of enemy attacks on the territory of Ukraine.

The pre-trial investigation also established that by assisting the enemy in conducting subversive activities, the student collected intelligence information about military and civilian objects using technical equipment and sent it to representatives of the special services via the messenger.

During a search at the suspect's residence, law enforcement officers seized a mobile phone containing evidence of cooperation.

The pre-trial investigation and operational support in the criminal proceedings are being carried out by investigators and counterintelligence officers of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Poltava region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
