Prosecutors of the Kamianets-Podilskyi District Prosecutor's Office have sent an indictment to the court regarding a couple from Vinnytsia, who were detained while transporting the psychotropic substance PVP. They are charged with the illegal acquisition, storage, and transportation for the purpose of sale of psychotropic substances in particularly large quantities (part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

During the investigation, it was established that they had acquired PVP and planned to sell the product using the "stash" method. In May 2025, they brought the psychotropics to one of the communities in Khmelnytskyi region, photographed the locations, and headed to the city of Kamianets-Podilskyi. On the way, they were detained by law enforcement officers, who stopped the vehicle during curfew and discovered packages containing the prohibited substance.

The estimated value of the seized items on the "black market" is 7.5 million hryvnias.

Currently, the accomplices are in custody.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was conducted by the Kamianets-Podilskyi District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Khmelnytskyi region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
