At the request of the prosecutors of the Primorsky District Prosecutor's Office of Odesa, a man who was involved in the transportation of a particularly dangerous drug has been taken into custody without the right to bail.

The suspect is charged with the illegal acquisition, storage, transportation, and sending for the purpose of sale of narcotic substances in particularly large amounts (Part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, a native of the Rozdilna district, together with unidentified individuals, organized the supply of cocaine from Spain to Ukraine. They hid packages with the drug in the transmission case of a vehicle.

As a result of searches conducted by law enforcement in the suspect's car and at his residence, more than 1 kg of the drug was seized, with an estimated value on the "black market" of over 100,000 USD. Additionally, 130 cannabis plants and equipment for growing, cultivating, and weighing cannabis were confiscated from the suspect's home. 

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings is being conducted by investigators from the police department No. 5 of the Odesa District Police Department No. 1. Operational support is provided by the Department for Combating Drug Crimes of the National Police of Ukraine.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict.
