While receiving an undue benefit of $ 2,000, the head of the educational institution was detained

Under the procedural guidance of the Kirovohrad Regional Prosecutor's Office, the director of one of the colleges relocated to Kropyvnytskyi from Kherson has been exposed for demanding and receiving 2,000 USD from a vocational education applicant for a positive decision regarding the applicant's enrollment in the full-time study program funded by the state budget. 

The cost of the "services" also included the provision of documents for deferral from mobilization during the study period.

The official was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine while receiving the entire amount of unlawful benefit. 

Currently, investigative and procedural actions are ongoing within the framework of the criminal proceedings.

The official has been notified of suspicion under part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Main Investigation Department of the National Police in the region, with operational support from the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police of Ukraine.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
