Attacks and collection of data on attacks on the CHP plant: two saboteurs and a state traitor were convicted in Kyiv

In Kyiv, the court announced sentences for three individuals who, acting on the orders of the Russian special services, committed arson and gathered information about the consequences of missile strikes on critical infrastructure facilities.

Under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General, the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, and the Dnipro District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv, public prosecution was supported in the mentioned criminal proceedings.

Thus, one of the accused was found guilty under Part 2 of Article 113 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — sabotage committed under martial law. This concerns the arson of a relay cabinet of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia," which the man carried out in April of this year on the orders of a curator from Russia. The court sentenced him to 10 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Another resident of Kyiv was sentenced to the same punishment — 10 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property — for the arson of a branch of JSC "Ukrposhta," committed in February 2025. In February 2025, he broke a window of the JSC "Ukrposhta" branch at night and threw an incendiary mixture inside. The investigation established that he met the curator through social networks, where he received the task of selecting a target and preparing means for arson. He was found guilty under Part 2 of Article 27, Part 2 of Article 28, and Part 2 of Article 113 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

In addition, another local resident was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property. He was found guilty under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — treason committed under martial law.

It was established that the man collaborated with the enemy in the fall of 2022. Carrying out the curator's tasks, he collected and transmitted information about the consequences of missile strikes on critical infrastructure facilities in Kyiv and the Kyiv region.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was conducted by investigators of the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, as well as investigators of the Main Investigative Department of the Security Service of Ukraine under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General, the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, and the Dnipro District Prosecutor's Office.
