Under the public prosecution of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, the court found a resident of Pokrovsk guilty of unauthorized dissemination of information about the deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (part 3 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He was sentenced to 8 years of imprisonment.

In court, prosecutors proved that in April 2022, the man met with a representative of the Russian Armed Forces in the banned social network "VKontakte." He agreed to cooperate to implement the plans of the Russian Federation and undermine the national security of Ukraine.

At the enemy's request, the accused checked, confirmed, and refuted information about the locations of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel. He also sent messages about the movement of Defense Forces units in Pokrovsk.

Thus, he assisted the aggressor state's troops in gathering intelligence that could be used to carry out missile or artillery strikes against Ukrainian defenders.

He was detained by law enforcement officers. The man awaited the court's verdict in custody.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
