Only three of the promised ten modular houses for the residents of the Russian Moshchun in Kyiv region were built

Prosecutors of the Podil District Prosecutor's Office in Kyiv have reported suspicions of embezzlement of funds from a charitable foundation against the director of a private company that was building modular houses in the village of Moschun in the Kyiv region. The houses were intended to serve as temporary housing for people who lost their homes due to the destruction in Kyiv region caused by the Russian military.
The actions of the suspect have been classified under part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
It has been established that in 2022, the charitable foundation ordered and paid for the manufacture and installation of 10 modular houses. The funds – 10.4 million hryvnias – were transferred to the contractor in full in advance. However, the private company only installed 3 houses and did not fulfill the remaining obligations. Thus, the housing for the residents of Moschun was supposed to be arranged by the end of 2022, but the houses have not been installed to this day. Consequently, according to the expert's conclusions, the charitable organization has suffered damages of nearly 4 million hryvnias.
The pre-trial investigation, under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Podil District Prosecutor's Office in Kyiv, was conducted by investigators of the Podil Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv with operational support from the Security Service of Ukraine.
