Double terrorist attack in Dnipro: a 16-year-old teenager fulfilled the task of the Russian Federation - a man was killed, a law enforcement officer was injured

Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a 16-year-old boy has been charged with committing a double terrorist attack in Dnipro, which resulted in a person's death.
The investigation established that in November 2025, representatives of the Russian Federation recruited the 16-year-old boy via the Telegram messenger. For a monetary reward, he agreed to carry out the tasks of his curator, the main goal of which was a terrorist attack aimed at harming law enforcement officers who would arrive at the site of the first explosion.
Following the instructions of the so-called curators, the boy traveled from Kyiv to Dnipro. There, he manufactured two homemade explosive devices from improvised materials, placed them in designated locations, and set up mobile phones for video recording of the "completed task."
Representatives of the Russian Federation deliberately directed an unsuspecting man to the location of the first homemade explosive device, presenting it as a drug stash. When he approached the device, it detonated, and the man died on the spot.
After some time, a police explosives technician arrived at the explosion site. As the curators had anticipated, the second device was detonated, resulting in injuries to the law enforcement officer.
On November 24, the teenager was charged under Part 3 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code. Currently, the issue of choosing a preventive measure for the suspect is being resolved - detention without the right to bail.
“Today, the enemy is deliberately seeking our children on social networks and messengers. They promise money or gifts, but in reality, they involve teenagers in arson, sabotage, and data collection. Any reckless action by your child can become a weapon in the hands of the aggressor. Talk to your child in time — it can protect them from danger and criminal liability,” emphasized the prosecutor from the regional prosecutor's office.
Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
