Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office, on December 15, the chief state inspector of the State Tax Service in the Cherkasy region was notified of suspicion for intentionally providing false information in the declaration of a person authorized to perform state functions (Part 2 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that the suspect, while serving as the head of one of the departments of the State Tax Service in the Cherkasy region, submitted an annual declaration for 2022 containing false information. In particular, she did not disclose information about the property owned by her husband - five cars with a total value of over 7 million hryvnias.

As a result, the data that should have been included in Section 6 "Vehicles" of the declaration according to the requirements of the legislation was not provided. 

Pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings is being conducted by investigators of the Fourth Investigative Department (located in Cherkasy) of the Territorial Administration of the State Bureau of Investigation, based in Kyiv.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
