Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Department for the Protection of Children's Interests and Countering Domestic Violence of the Volyn Regional Prosecutor's Office, the director of a private enterprise has been notified of suspicion of misappropriating someone else's property by abusing the official position of a public servant, in large and especially large amounts, committed under martial law (parts 4, 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

It has been established that in 2024, as a result of open procurement, contracts were concluded between the enterprise and three educational institutions for the supply of coal and anthracite for heating.

Throughout the autumn of that year, the enterprise supplied substandard goods that did not meet the regulatory indicators and requirements specified in the tender documentation and contracts.

However, the educational institutions paid for it as if it were quality goods.

The total amount of damages caused by the illegal actions of the director of the private enterprise is nearly 1.5 million hryvnias.

The issue of choosing a preventive measure for the suspect is being resolved.

Pre-trial investigation: Investigative Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Volyn Region with operational support from the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police of Ukraine.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
