Specialized prosecutors in the defense sector have returned 411.6 hectares of land along the state border to the state this year, with an estimated value of over 1 billion hryvnias.

These are defense lands. They are crucial for national security and are needed for border protection, deployment of units, and functioning of border infrastructure.

Such border lands can only belong to the state. At the same time, there have been cases where they were illegally transferred to private or communal ownership.

In each of these situations, prosecutors challenged the decisions in court and returned the land for its intended purpose - for the defense of the state.
