Under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a 24-year-old native of Kostiantynivka has been notified of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — unauthorized dissemination of information about the deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In August 2025, representatives of the FSB of the Russian Federation contacted the man through pro-Russian channels on Telegram. Agreeing to cooperate, the suspect began to transmit data to the occupying special services about the locations of Ukrainian military personnel, equipment, ammunition depots, as well as the coordinates of civilian infrastructure objects.
The representatives of the special services promised him a monetary reward for the collected information and guaranteed assistance during "filtering measures" in the event of the city being captured.
On October 28, the illegal activities of the man were uncovered and halted. A preventive measure in the form of detention has been chosen for the suspect. He faces up to 12 years of imprisonment.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
