Suspicion was reported to the deputy of Dnipro, who forged documents for a "business trip" and went with his family on vacation to Greece

Under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General, a current deputy of the Dnipro City Council, who holds the position of head of one of the districts of the city administration and was elected from the political party "Opposition Platform – For Life" (currently a member of the deputy group "For Ukraine! For Dnipro!"), has been notified of suspicion for organizing the inclusion of knowingly false information into an official document and for using a forged document (Part 3 of Article 27, Part 1 of Article 366, Part 4 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

During the period of martial law, local council deputies have the right to cross the state border only with a properly executed decision on official travel.

According to the investigation, in June 2023, the deputy decided to travel abroad for personal matters. To circumvent the established rules, he organized a fictitious invitation from a foreign company for supposedly participating in a conference in Hungary. No such event actually took place.

Based on the forged document, an order was signed by the Dnipro City Mayor regarding the business trip, which granted the deputy the right to cross the state border of Ukraine.

Having received permission to leave, the deputy, along with his family, went on vacation to the island of Rhodes in Greece, where he stayed from June 27 to July 13, 2023. After that, he returned to Ukraine.

Pre-trial investigation is ongoing. It is being conducted by investigators of the Main Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine in cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
