Moscow Mayor Sobyanin, who organized the mobilization of more than 100,000 occupiers, was informed of suspicion

Prosecutors of the Office of the Attorney General informed the Mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin, of suspicion of aiding the conduct of an aggressive war against Ukraine (Part 5 of Article 27, Part 1 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 437 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, Sobyanin has knowingly facilitated the armed aggression against Ukraine and provided resources for its continuation.

In particular, it has been established that he:

· organized mobilization processes and created infrastructure for recruiting personnel, including foreigners, which allowed for the formation of about 100,000 servicemen for the Russian army;

· introduced financial incentives for those mobilized, contract soldiers, and their family members;

· contributed to the construction of fortifications in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, involving resources from municipal enterprises in Moscow;

· ensured the development of the defense-industrial complex of the Russian Federation, particularly in the production of S-400 surface-to-air missile systems and unmanned systems.

“Sobyanin's actions are a conscious contribution to the implementation of the criminal policy of the Russian Federation regarding the seizure of Ukrainian territories,” emphasized the Department for Combating Crimes Committed in Armed Conflict Conditions of the Office of the Attorney General.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Main Investigative Department of the Security Service of Ukraine.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
