Prosecutors of the Voznesensk District Prosecutor's Office have reported suspicion against an official of the branch "South Ukrainian NPP" of the State Enterprise "NAEK Energoatom". He is accused of abusing his official position for selfish motives in the interests of another legal entity, which caused severe consequences (part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the official, acting contrary to the interests of the "Pivdennoukrainska AES", deliberately created conditions for entering into an unfavorable contract. This concerns a contract for the supply of bearings, the technical specifications of which did not match the stated ones, and the price was inflated. As a result, the enterprise suffered losses of 1.1 million UAH.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Voznesensk District Police Department with operational support from the Security Service of Ukraine in the Mykolaiv region.

The suspect faces up to six years of imprisonment with a ban on holding certain positions for up to three years.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
