A resident of Dnipropetrovsk region was notified of suspicion of treason for transferring data

From May to October 2025, a 47-year-old man collected data on the location of the military-industrial complex, critical infrastructure, and the consequences of missile strikes in the city of Pavlohrad. He transmitted the collected information to representatives of the Russian special services via “Telegram” bots. 

Evidence of criminal activity was found on the mobile phone of the suspect during authorized searches.

On November 6, he was informed of the suspicion of treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Currently, the suspect has been placed in custody without the right to bail.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
