Under the procedural guidance of the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office, a 50-year-old resident of Kanivshchyna has been notified of suspicion for obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during a special period (Part 1 of Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).  

According to the investigation, in July-August 2025, the suspect administered a Telegram group where he disseminated information about the locations of summons being delivered by representatives of the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (TCRC) and their movement routes. The information, marked with conditional words and weather phenomena, allowed local residents to avoid encounters with the TCRC and the police.  

A phone containing evidence of the suspect's involvement in the crime has been seized.  

The activities of the Internet community have currently been blocked.  

The pre-trial investigation and operational support in the criminal proceedings are being provided by the employees of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Cherkasy region.  

For reference: the sanction of Part 1 of Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of five to eight years.  

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
