Law enforcement officers exposed the scheme of illegal traveling abroad - the border inspector was informed of suspicion

Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Defense Sector of the Southern Region, an inspector of the border service has been exposed and detained for organizing the illegal crossing of the border by conscripted individuals.

According to the investigation, in September 2025, the suspect, having found individuals willing to leave the country, offered two men of conscription age to smuggle them to the Republic of Moldova for 4,500 US dollars each.

According to the plan, he was to transport them to the border in his own vehicle. To conceal their route, the conscripted individuals arrived at one of the villages in the Tatarbunary district of the Odesa region, from where they were transferred to the designated meeting place in another vehicle.

After receiving the funds totaling 9,000 US dollars, the suspect's illegal actions were uncovered by law enforcement, and he was detained.

The inspector has been notified of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and a preventive measure in the form of detention has been chosen, with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of 908,400 hryvnias.

The possible involvement of other individuals in the organization of the crime is also being investigated.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators from the Second SVI (located in Odesa) of the State Bureau of Investigation, based in Mykolaiv, with operational support from the VVB of the 25th PZ of the Southern Border Guard Service of Ukraine, and the GORV 25 PZ of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
