The prosecutor's office returned land with ponds worth more than UAH 11.5 million to the Kuyalnytsk community through the court

The prosecution authorities of Odesa region are taking systematic measures to ensure the effective use of land and water resources, the payment for the use of which is the material and financial basis of local self-government.

Thus, the court satisfied two claims from the Podilsk District Prosecutor's Office and made a decision to recover debts from the enterprises, terminate lease agreements, and return the land plots of the water fund, as well as the ponds to the Kulyalnytska village council.

This concerns lands with a total area of 6.7 hectares, on which local ponds are located, with an estimated value of over 11.5 million UAH.

Prosecutors found that since 2010, these land plots and ponds had been used by two farming enterprises, which, under the lease agreement, were supposed to use the ponds for fish farming purposes. However, over the past five years, the entrepreneurs have not made any payments for the lease.

The unscrupulous fulfillment of obligations led to the ineffective use of land and water resources that belong to the community.

In order to protect its interests, the prosecution filed a lawsuit in April 2025.

The court's decision was executed in October: the lease agreements were terminated, the lands and ponds were returned to the ownership of the village council, and debts were recovered from the enterprises.
