By the lawsuit of the Deputy Head of the Transcarpathian Regional Prosecutor's Office, the Economic Court has made a decision to recover 3.2 million UAH in damages from the state enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" for the illegal logging of trees in the Svidovets forestry.

The basis for the lawsuit was the results of the investigation, during which it was established that in one of the compartments of the Svidovets forestry, fir trees were illegally cut down. The unauthorized logging was made possible due to the improper performance of official duties by the forestry employees.

As a result of these actions, the natural reserve fund and the ecological interests of the state and the Yasinya community suffered damages exceeding 3.2 million UAH, which must currently be fully compensated by the state enterprise "Forests of Ukraine".

Currently, the court's decision is expected to come into legal force.
