The Prosecutor's Office of the Kyiv region exposed and stopped the activity of 18 illegal gambling establishments

Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, the activities of 18 underground gambling establishments operating in the region have been uncovered and terminated.

During the pre-trial investigation, it was established that the illegal gambling halls were located in non-residential premises in the Fastiv, Bila Tserkva, Bucha, Vasylkiv, and Obukhiv districts. The establishments operated in a closed mode, including during the curfew. Access was granted only to a limited circle of individuals by prior arrangement with the administrators.

During the authorized searches, more than 160 sets of computer equipment, video cameras, thermal printers, and handwritten notes were seized. The seized property has been recognized as physical evidence in criminal proceedings. The estimated value of the goods and materials is nearly 3 million hryvnias.

Currently, efforts are ongoing to identify all individuals involved in the organization and operation of the illegal gambling business.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted under Article 203-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The measures to uncover and terminate illegal activities were carried out by detectives of the Territorial Department of the Bureau of Economic Security in the Kyiv region.
