The prosecutor's office of Lviv region has sent an indictment on smuggling for 10 million hryvnias to court

The pre-trial investigation has been completed, and an indictment (Part 1 of Article 201-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) has been sent to court regarding a resident of the Lviv region, who in February 2025, while concealing from declaration and carrying out all customs formalities, imported commercial goods worth over 10 million hryvnias from the Republic of Poland to Ukraine.  

This concerns about 2,000 units of household appliances from popular foreign brands - robotic vacuum cleaners, cameras, headphones, routers, gamepads, gaming consoles, microphones, power banks, and more. It also includes nearly 6,000 well-known foreign hair care products, 2 sports motorcycles, and branded clothing.

At the request of the prosecutor, the court has imposed a seizure on the confiscated goods.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by detectives of the territorial department of the Bureau of Economic Security in the Lviv region under the procedural guidance of the Lviv regional prosecutor's office.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
