During the working meeting of the head of the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office with representatives of the business community of the region, the co-owner of one of the enterprises raised the issue of possible violations committed by the state registrar. Prosecutors promptly responded to this signal and took measures to conduct an effective pre-trial investigation.

Under the procedural supervision of the prosecutors of the Cherkasy District Prosecutor's Office, the former state registrar of the executive committee of the Moshny Village Council of the Cherkasy region was notified of suspicion, due to whose actions a group of persons raided the share of one of the owners of the company in the statutory capital in the amount of UAH 167 million.

She was charged with official negligence (part 2 of Art. 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the state registrar, without verification of all documents and information, entered into the State Register data on the change of owners of the legal entity. With such registration actions, the suspect excluded the owner of the company, who owned a controlling stake, which later gave a group of persons the opportunity to illegally seize a share in the authorized capital of the company in the amount of more than 70%.

Currently, the suspect was given a measure of restraint.

The pre-trial investigation is carried out by investigators of the Cherkasy Regional Police Department of the Main Department of the National Police in the Cherkasy region under the operational support of the Strategic Investigation Department in the Cherkasy region of the Department of Strategic Investigation of the National Police of Ukraine.

Note: In accordance with Article 62 of the Constitution, a person shall be presumed innocent of a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt has been proved legally and established by a court conviction.
