The prosecutor's office returned to the state the property complex of an alcohol factory

At the request of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, the court terminated the purchase and sale agreement for the integrated property complex of the state enterprise "Trylisky Distillery" in the Fastiv district.

This concerns an object that includes buildings and structures with an area of over 13 thousand square meters on a land plot larger than 100 hectares. The factory has not been operational since 2010. That same year, it was purchased by a private owner for 8 thousand hryvnias, who committed to pay off the enterprise's multi-million debts, including those related to wages and to the state budget.

The investigation established that the new owner did not fulfill the conditions of the privatization agreement. Within six months, he was supposed to pay off a debt of over 11 million hryvnias, but he failed to do so. Such actions caused significant harm to the economic interests of the state.

The court supported the prosecutor's claim, annulled the purchase and sale agreement, and imposed a fine of 790 thousand hryvnias on the defendant for violating the privatization conditions. Thanks to the actions of the prosecutors, the interests of the state were protected, and the property of the enterprise is being returned to state ownership.

Currently, the prosecutor's office is taking measures to ensure the actual enforcement of the court decision and to cancel the registration of private ownership rights to state property.
