The Prosecutor's Office returns to the state illegally privatized lands in the coastal protective lane of the Dnieper

The Slobozhansk District Prosecutor's Office responded to the illegal transfer of forest land totaling over 2 hectares into private ownership, located in the protective coastal strip of the Dnipro River.

In 2021, two plots of land were removed from state ownership to private ownership based on orders from the State Geocadastre, issued in violation of the requirements of Article 122 of the Land Code of Ukraine.

Defending the interests of the state, prosecutors from the Slobozhansk District Prosecutor's Office filed lawsuits with the Economic Court of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast and the Dnipro District Court to reclaim the land plots for state ownership, annul ownership rights, and cancel their state registration.

The protection of environmentally sensitive lands, forests, and water bodies from illegal use remains one of the key areas of the prosecutor's work. The protective coastal strip of large rivers has a strict usage regime that ensures the preservation of water bodies.
