Ukrainian land is not for abuse and illegal enrichment. This is especially true for protected natural areas, which are a national treasure and a strategic resource of the state. Any attempts to use them for personal interests pose a threat not only to the environment but also to the security of the country.

Prosecutors of environmental prosecutor's offices consistently uphold legality in this area. Thanks to their position, another attempt at the illegal use of Ukrainian land has been stopped, and territories of special natural and ecological value have been protected.

Chernigiv Region

Eight agricultural land plots with an area of 5.7 hectares within the regional landscape park "Mizhrichynskyi" have been confiscated from a citizen of the Russian Federation.

The land, for which the woman registered ownership as inherited property, was not alienated but leased. According to the legislation, agricultural land inherited by foreigners must be alienated within a year, which became the basis for the court appeal.

As of now, the court's decision has been executed: the land has been effectively transferred to the management of the Main Department of the State Geocadastre in the Chernigiv region.
