The Prosecutor's Office returns protected and valuable lands to the state. Khmelnytskyi region

Prosecutors of Specialized Environmental Prosecutor's Offices restore the legal right of the state and community residents to nature conservation lands, forests, and reservoirs that were illegally appropriated, and therefore illegally removed from their property. The Prosecutor's Office reacts to each such fact and fundamentally defends its legal position in court.

Since the beginning of this year, almost 1100 lawsuits have been brought before the courts for 20.2 thousand hectares of land of the nature reserve fund and valuable land for UAH 1.8 billion.

Resolved lawsuits (including those of previous years): 707 lawsuits for 7 thousand hectares of protected land, which is almost equal to the area of such a regional center as the city of Cherkasy. Their estimated value is UAH 1.6 billion. The transfer of more than 5 thousand hectares was also prevented.

Enforcement of court decisions for UAH 854 million was ensured. 5.6 thousand hectares of nature conservation land have been returned to the state, which exceeds the territory of the city of Bucha in terms of area.

In Khmelnytskyi region, the Prosecutor's Office defended 951 hectares of forest fund land within the regional landscape park «Malyovanka». The park was created to preserve the biological and landscape diversity of Male Polissya and is an object of the Nature Reserve Fund of Ukraine. These lands, violating the norms of the legislation, were re-registered to the Sudylkiv Village Council, as a result of which they were withdrawn from state ownership to communal ownership.

The Prosecutor's Office proved the validity of the lawsuit — the court satisfied it and canceled the registration of land for the community. In the future, they will be transferred to the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration.
