Prosecutors continue to restore justice and return to communities lands and water bodies of environmental significance.

In Rivne region, based on a lawsuit from the prosecutor's office, a lake with an area of 64 hectares was returned to the Smyzka community. It is part of the local significance hydrological reserve "Studyanka" – an area of environmental importance.

It was established that the private joint-stock company "Rivne Fish Breeding and Melioration Station," which was formed on the basis of a former state enterprise, was using this lake and the adjacent land plot for fish breeding without sufficient legal grounds and without paying funds to the local budget.

Thanks to the prosecutor's office, the community has regained a valuable natural resource that is part of the protected area, and the illegal use of the water body has been terminated.
