The Primorsky District Prosecutor's Office of Odesa has reported suspicion against the director of a company for unauthorized construction on a land plot in a recreational area near the Black Sea coast (Part 4 of Article 197-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

During the investigation, it was established that the head of the LLC, in order to expand the territory for business activities and generate profit, unlawfully constructed part of a hotel complex, spa areas, pools, and other recreational zones on a land plot that did not belong to him.

Thus, since 2022, the hotel complex has been operating, the company is making a profit, and the part of the land plot that was unlawfully built upon is being used for free.

As a result of these actions, the local budget is losing funds, and the territorial community of Odesa is not managing valuable land.

Due to the illegal actions of the official of the LLC and accomplices, the territorial community of the city of Odesa has suffered damages exceeding 20 million UAH.

Currently, the prosecutor's office has filed a motion with the court for the arrest of the company's assets to ensure compensation for the property damage caused.

Operational measures were conducted with the participation of the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police of Ukraine.

Currently, the involvement of other individuals in the scheme of seizing land near the sea, covering an area of 0.0823 hectares on the "Lanzheron" beach promenade, is being investigated, as the investigation indicates that the company director acted in collusion.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
