The prosecutor's office continues to expose state traitors who passed data on the defense forces to the enemy

The prosecutor's office, together with law enforcement agencies, continues its consistent work to expose and hold accountable individuals who voluntarily sided with the enemy or assisted the armed forces of the Russian Federation in causing harm to Ukraine.

Cherkasy region.

A man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property for gathering and transmitting to a representative of the aggressor state precise coordinates, photo and video materials, as well as other information about the locations of air defense systems and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Cherkasy region, acting under the instructions of a representative of the Russian special services for monetary reward since December 2024. He was detained in April 2025 and informed of suspicion of treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The procedural leadership was carried out by prosecutors of the Cherkasy regional prosecutor's office, with the pre-trial investigation and operational support provided by the Security Service of Ukraine in the Cherkasy region.

Donetsk region. 

A resident of Kramatorsk is suspected of committing a similar crime, having informed the enemy about the locations of Defense Forces in the city. She faces a penalty of 15 years in prison or life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Carrying out tasks for a man who introduced himself as a serviceman of the Russian Armed Forces, since August 2025, the woman transmitted information about the movement of armored military equipment, confirmed the data he received about the location of checkpoints, and marked the locations of Defense Forces units on an electronic map both within the settlement and nearby.

In November, the woman was detained by law enforcement. The court, having considered the request of the prosecution, chose a preventive measure in the form of detention.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Kharkiv region.

In the Izium area, two informants were detained for transmitting data about the locations of Ukrainian defenders via “Telegram.” They sent this information to their fellow villager who had moved to the Russian Federation and works for the FSB.

One of the informants is an employee of a gas compressor station. Under the pretext of business trips, he collected data on the positions of Ukrainian military, equipment, and key facilities of the gas compressor station.

The second is a driver who, while delivering products to frontline areas, tracked the locations of Ukrainian units.

Law enforcement detained both men under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine at their residence in Kharkiv.

Under the procedural leadership of the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office, they have been informed of suspicion of treason committed under martial law, by a group of individuals in conspiracy (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region. Operational support is provided by employees of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
