The prosecutor's office, together with law enforcement agencies, continues its consistent work to expose and hold accountable individuals who voluntarily collaborated with the occupying authorities or assisted the armed forces of the Russian Federation in causing harm to Ukraine.
Kherson region: a former inspector of the occupation pre-trial detention center has been notified of suspicion
Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Mykolaiv Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the defense sector of the Southern region, a citizen has been notified of suspicion for voluntarily taking a position in an illegally created body of the occupying authority (part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that after the temporary occupation of Kherson in 2022, the man joined the service at the "Pre-Trial Detention Center No. 1 of the State Penitentiary Service in the Kherson region," where he performed the functions of a "junior inspector." He guarded prisoners under the instructions of representatives of the aggressor state and received payment in Russian rubles.
In September 2025, he was detained. At the prosecutor's request, the court chose a preventive measure — detention without the right to bail.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Mykolaiv region under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office.
Cherkasy region: a woman has been sentenced in absentia for providing coordinates of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the enemy
Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office, a resident of the Donetsk region has been sentenced in absentia to 12 years of imprisonment for providing representatives of the "DPR" with information about the location of Ukrainian military forces (part 3 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
In 2022-2023, the woman voluntarily provided militants with precise coordinates of the locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the city of Sloviansk through the social network "VKontakte," motivated by support for the occupying administration. The obtained data was used by the enemy to carry out fire strikes on Ukrainian positions.
The pre-trial investigation in the case was conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Cherkasy region under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office.
Kharkiv region: an agent of the Russian Federation has been exposed for correcting a massive drone strike on June 5, 2025
Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, a 48-year-old resident of the region has been notified of suspicion of treason committed under martial law (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that the man maintained contact with a serviceman of the Russian Armed Forces via the messenger "Telegram" and provided him with information to adjust air attacks on Kharkiv.
In particular, on June 5, 2025, Russian troops carried out a massive drone strike using "Geran-2," resulting in 18 injuries and damage to residential buildings, a lyceum, and shops.
At the prosecutor's request, the court placed the suspect in custody.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office.
Donetsk and Odesa regions: two state traitors have been notified of suspicion
Under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a resident of Kramatorsk has been notified of suspicion for treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
At the request of a representative of the FSB of the Russian Federation via "Telegram," the man collected and transmitted information to the enemy about the locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, military equipment, and the positions of Ukrainian defenders starting from August 2025.
Law enforcement officers detained the man on October 2, 2025.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. At the request of the prosecution, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment of 15 years of imprisonment or life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Also, under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a resident of Odesa has been notified of suspicion for treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Since May 2024, the man has been transmitting data to an FSB officer of the Russian Federation via "Telegram" about the placement of Defense Forces in the Odesa region, adding graphic images of maps of the area with marked coordinates. The suspect's reports also contained data on infrastructure facilities and roadways.
Law enforcement officers detained the man on September 9, 2025. At the prosecutors' request, he is in custody.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
