According to the arguments of the prosecutor's office, the executive committee of the Uzhhorod City Council has been ordered by the courts of first and appellate instances to recognize the building of the dental clinic in the historical area of Uzhhorod as a newly identified object of cultural heritage.

In the lawsuit, the Uzhhorod District Prosecutor's Office demanded that the Executive Committee of the Uzhhorod City Council produce the necessary documents and take the required measures to include the building in the Register of Cultural Heritage Objects. This would thereby grant it the legal status of a newly identified object of cultural heritage.

In January of this year, the Uzhhorod District Administrative Court satisfied the prosecutor's claim. Despite further appeals by the executive committee of the Uzhhorod City Council, the Eighth Appellate Administrative Court upheld the decision of the first instance court, leaving it unchanged, and dismissed the city council's appeal.

Currently, the court's decision has come into legal force.

The building of the Transcarpathian Regional Clinical Dental Clinic, constructed in the 1920s, is located in the historical area of Uzhhorod at 8 Independence Embankment. The building is part of an urban planning monument and is included in the list of objects proposed for nomination to the UNESCO World Heritage List (Small Halagov).

In March 2024, the local government made a decision to liquidate this communal non-profit enterprise, disregarding the provisions of Ukrainian legislation that prohibit the reduction of the existing network of healthcare institutions. Prosecutors have filed a lawsuit insisting that these decisions be recognized as unlawful and annulled. Currently, judicial proceedings regarding this matter are ongoing in the Uzhhorod District Administrative Court.
