The prosecutor's office returned more than 2.6 hectares of land at the Synevyr National Park in court.

During the consideration of the case, the claim of the Khust District Prosecutor's Office was satisfied, and a decision was made to return the land plot within the boundaries of the National Nature Park "Synevyr" from communal to state ownership.

In 2020, the Main Department of the State Geocadastre in the Transcarpathian region unlawfully seized over 2.6 hectares of land from the nature reserve fund, which was in permanent use by the National Park, from state ownership. The plot was illegally transferred as agricultural land to the ownership of the Synevyr Village Council.

To eliminate the violations, in February 2025, a lawsuit was filed in the interests of the state represented by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine and the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration. The prosecutors insisted on declaring invalid the orders and directives issued by the authorities and local self-government, canceling the state registration of property rights, and returning the land. At this time, the decision is expected to gain legal force for its actual implementation.
