Prosecutors of the Lviv Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Defense Sector ensured the restoration of the constitutional rights of a citizen of Ukraine who was illegally conscripted for military service despite having legitimate grounds for deferment.

After media coverage of the case in the village of Sasiv in Lviv region, the prosecutors promptly responded to reports about a man with a disability who was left without care after the mobilization of his only son.

The information was confirmed: the man was indeed conscripted for service in violation of legal requirements, as he was responsible for caring for his father – a person with a first-group disability, and there were no other relatives capable of providing care.

Thanks to the coordinated actions of the prosecutors, the command of the military unit, and local authorities, the issue of releasing the man from military service due to family circumstances was resolved in the shortest possible time. 

In addition, the prosecutor's office initiated a service investigation regarding the officials of the Zolochiv District TCC and SP to establish the reasons and conditions for the illegal conscription. 

As a result, an administrative protocol was drawn up against the acting head for exceeding the official powers of a military official (part 2 of Article 172-14 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses). The materials were sent to court for consideration.

The Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Defense Sector of the Western Region continues to systematically protect the rights of servicemen and citizens, ensuring strict adherence to legality during mobilization activities.
