The prosecutor signed the suspicion of the famous participant of Antimaydan, who worked on the Russian Federation during the occupation of Kharkiv region

Under the procedural guidance of the Kupiansk District Prosecutor's Office of the Kharkiv region, a 53-year-old man has been notified of suspicion in absentia for collaboration activities (Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The suspect is one of the leaders of the "Anti-Maidan," who participated in the storming of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration in 2014.

According to the investigation, during the occupation of the city of Kupiansk, the man attempted to advance in the "official hierarchy."

In August 2022, he voluntarily took the position of "acting head of the industrial department of the Department of Industry and Trade of the Military-Civil Administration of the Kharkiv region."

The main task of the collaborator was to conduct an inventory of all machine-building and agro-industrial enterprises located in the occupied territory of the Kharkiv region.

He also supervised the activities of industrial facilities, distributed illegal duties among the employees of the "department," organized the payment of salaries to subordinates in Russian rubles, and performed other functions for the benefit of the occupiers.

On the eve of the de-occupation of the territory by the Armed Forces, the collaborator fled to the Russian Federation with Russian military personnel. Measures are being taken to declare him wanted.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the investigative unit of the Kupiansk District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv region. Operational support is provided by the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
