Dnipro prosecutors have achieved 15 years in prison for a saboteur who set fire to the Armed Forces and Ukrzaliznytsia cars

A resident of Dnipro was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property for committing sabotage under martial law, obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and intentionally damaging property by arson (Part 2 of Article 113, Part 1 of Article 114-1, Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Prosecutors proved that the convicted individual joined a Telegram bot, through which he established contact with a representative of the Russian special services. Following their instructions, he set fire to relay cabinets at a Ukrzaliznytsia facility, as well as vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that were used for combat missions.

The individual recorded his crimes on a mobile phone and sent video recordings to his curator in exchange for monetary rewards.

During a search at his residence, law enforcement officers seized phones and containers with remnants of a flammable mixture used for the arsons.

Until the sentence takes effect, the man will remain in custody.

The pre-trial investigation in the case was conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region under the procedural guidance of the Central District Prosecutor's Office of Dnipro and the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
