Prosecutors document the consequences of Russian airline on Kharkiv: 33 victims are already known, four children

On July 24, around 11:00, the armed forces of the Russian Federation carried out airstrikes on the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv.

Hits were recorded at a civilian enterprise, where a fire broke out. The second strike was near a multi-story residential building, where parked cars caught fire.

As of now, 33 people are known to have been injured. Among them are two girls: one is 10 years old, the other is only 28 days old, as well as a pregnant woman — all of them have experienced acute stress reactions. A 17-year-old boy and girl sustained blast injuries. All the victims are receiving the necessary medical assistance.

According to preliminary data, the attack was carried out using two guided aerial bombs UMPB-5, launched from a Su-34 aircraft near the settlement of Stroitiel in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation. The launch range was about 100 km.

Prosecutors and police investigators are working at the sites of the Russian strikes and documenting yet another act of terror against the peaceful population of Kharkiv.

Under the procedural guidance of the Shevchenkivskyi District Prosecutor's Office of Kharkiv, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated into the commission of war crimes (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
