Prosecutors document the effects of a hostile attack in Donetsk and Cherkasy region - nine victims, including two children

On June 29, 2025, at 07:15, Russian troops shelled residential buildings in the frontline town of Lyman. The target of the enemy's weapon was a 5-story residential building. As a result of the attack, a man, a woman, and a 12-year-old boy were injured in one of the apartments.  

The victims were diagnosed with blast injuries, shrapnel wounds, bruises, and carbon monoxide poisoning. They received medical assistance. 

The facade, windows, and balconies of the building were damaged at the impact site. The type of weapon is being determined. 

On the night of June 29, 2025, the territory of the city of Smila in the Cherkasy region was under the fire of the Russian armed forces. Fragments of missiles and UAVs were found.

At this time, six injured people are known, including a 5-year-old child.

As a result of the enemy attack, a building of one of the educational institutions was damaged, as well as private and multi-story houses in the residential sector, garage premises, and 7 vehicles.

Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Donetsk and Cherkasy regional prosecutor's offices, pre-trial investigations have been initiated regarding the commission of a war crime (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
