Donetsk prosecutors reported suspicion to four Russian agents who transferred about 100 positions of the Ukrainian military to the enemy

Under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, four men have been notified of suspicion of treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and a preventive measure in the form of detention has been chosen.

In January 2025, two employees of a Dnipro enterprise — a postman from Kramatorsk and a resident of Druzhkivka — began to pass intelligence data to the enemy. All of them were recruited by one curator — a representative of the FSB of the Russian Federation.

The agents collected information about Ukrainian defenders in the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kyiv regions, and Kharkiv. They shared with the occupiers the coordinates of the deployment of personnel and equipment of the Defense Forces, ammunition depots, air defense positions, artillery, training grounds, fortifications, and civilian infrastructure facilities. In addition, they reported on the locations of military units and the approximate number of servicemen. They also transmitted data about engineering structures and checkpoints.

The information was sent in the form of text messages, photos, and markings on electronic maps. Two of them received monetary rewards for this.

In total, the men managed to transmit about 100 coordinates that could be used by the Russian army to carry out strikes.

Their illegal actions were uncovered and stopped by law enforcement.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of 15 years of imprisonment or life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
