Prosecutors reported the suspicion of the expirer of the Dnieper mayor for illegal enrichment and false declaration of UAH 47 million

The former deputy mayor of the Dnipro City Council has been notified of suspicion for providing knowingly false information in a declaration and for illegal enrichment (Part 2 of Article 366-2, Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

While performing local government functions, the official did not declare property worth 47 million UAH in the annual declarations for 2022–2023.

This includes three apartments and parking spaces in the city of Barcelona, seven plots of land in the Dnipropetrovsk and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, an apartment, a number of residential and non-residential premises, cars, and corporate rights.

In addition, during this period, he illegally acquired assets worth nearly 9 million UAH more than his legal income.

At the request of the prosecutor, a preventive measure in the form of detention has been chosen for the suspect, and an arrest has been imposed on the illegally acquired property.

Due to hiding outside Ukraine, he has been placed on the international wanted list.

The exposure of the official was carried out jointly with the employees of the Main Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine under the procedural guidance of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
