Prosecutors have sent a case to the Court of Extraordinary from Spain the capital developer

Prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor General submitted an indictment to the court on June 27, 2025, against an individual who embezzled someone else's property on a particularly large scale and committed official forgery.

According to the investigation, the accused, in collusion with other individuals, acquired shares in the charter capitals of several enterprises from 2004 to 2013, through which a criminal group unlawfully seized land plots for the construction of 40 facilities, which was carried out without the appropriate permits and was associated with the embezzlement of entrusted property.

In order to further realize property rights to residential and non-residential premises, the involved individuals embezzled someone else's property, namely: under the guise of reconstruction, they demolished a non-residential premises that was on the balance sheet of one of the State enterprises and erected a multi-story residential complex in its place. These actions caused damage totaling over 2.6 million UAH.

In March 2025, based on a request from the Office of the Prosecutor General, the competent authorities of the Kingdom of Spain extradited the involved individual to Ukraine for criminal prosecution.

He is accused of embezzling entrusted property on a particularly large scale and official forgery, which caused severe consequences (Part 5 of Article 191, Part 3 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was conducted by the Main Investigative Department of the National Police of Ukraine.

For committing the specified offenses, the accused faces a punishment of imprisonment for a term of seven to twelve years with confiscation of property.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
