Prosecutors of specialized military prosecution offices continue to combat criminal offenses related to the embezzlement and misappropriation of budget funds, theft of military property, illegal alienation of state property, and the sale of humanitarian aid.

Over the course of two weeks in October, prosecutors reported suspicions against a number of individuals whose illegal actions caused the state losses amounting to tens of millions of hryvnias.

Thus, under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Specialized Military Prosecutor's Office of the Western Region, 11 individuals have been detained and reported as suspects under Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – among them, a former head and employees of the Capital Construction Department of the military administration, as well as leaders of several private companies.

It has been established that during the construction of fortification structures, they unjustifiably inflated the volumes of work performed and materials used, as a result of which they illegally appropriated budget funds amounting to over 74.5 million UAH.

Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Zaporizhzhia Specialized Military Prosecutor's Office, four individuals have been exposed for illegally selling humanitarian aid items for a total of 6.9 million UAH.

In addition, under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Central Regional Specialized Prosecutor's Office, a bankruptcy manager has been reported as a suspect under Part 3 of Article 365-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for illegally alienating buildings of a defense enterprise, causing the state losses of 4.5 million UAH.
