Prosecutors in the Supreme Court defended the sentence of the former railway foreman, which during the occupation of Kupyansk passed fuel to the Russian army

Prosecutors from the Office of the Attorney General and the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office secured a confirmation of punishment for a man convicted of aiding an aggressor state (Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The Supreme Court upheld the sentence, according to which a former railway employee was sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Prosecutors proved that in late June 2022, during the temporary occupation of the city of Kupiansk, the man voluntarily began working at a seized enterprise, where he held the position of a foreman before the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation. He became the "head of the fuel and petroleum products base of the production unit of the Kupiansk Locomotive Depot" at the state enterprise "Kupiansk Railway," which was under enemy control.

It was established that only at the end of July 2022 did the convicted individual transfer over 120 thousand liters of diesel fuel to the occupiers. For his activities, he received a salary in Russian rubles.
