Vinnytsia prosecutors have completed a pre -trial investigation into an employee of the institution in which people were massively poisoned, including minors and young children

The Khmilnytskyi District Prosecutor's Office, together with Police Department No. 1 of the Khmilnytskyi RVP of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Vinnytsia Oblast, has completed the pre-trial investigation into the violation of sanitary rules and norms regarding the prevention of infectious diseases and mass poisoning by a resident of Kalynivka.

The head of the Khmilnytskyi District Prosecutor's Office of Vinnytsia Oblast, Stepan Klitchenko, handed the indictment to the suspect accused of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 325 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, the man violated sanitary legislation requirements at the end of June 2025 and prepared shawarma in violation of sanitary and hygienic regulations, containing "Salmonella Enteritidis." As a result of these unlawful actions, there were 28 victims in the criminal proceedings, including 5 minors and 4 young children, who suffered from acute gastrointestinal toxic infection, which falls under the category of minor bodily injuries.

Such a crime is punishable by imprisonment for up to 3 years.

It is reminded that, by the order of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Ruslan Kravchenko, crimes in which children are victims are under special control of the prosecutor's offices.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
