According to operational data, on July 6, 2025, at 07:55, a cyclist was moving along the road next to the destroyed private houses of the village of Torske in the Lyman community of the Donetsk region. From an ambush set up among the trees, soldiers of the aggressor state opened aimed fire at him. When the injured civilian fell to the ground, two occupiers approached him, after which one of them deliberately finished off the man with a shot from automatic weapons.

Prosecutors of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office documented the fact of a war crime that resulted in a person's death (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Currently, urgent investigative (search) actions are being conducted to establish all the circumstances of the event and identify the victim of the occupiers.

The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
