A student from one of the higher educational institutions in Zaporizhzhia has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for treason committed by a group of individuals in conspiracy (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Prosecutors proved that the 19-year-old student actively assisted representatives of the Russian special services in conducting subversive activities against Ukraine. In carrying out the tasks of her "curators," she monitored the building of the Security Service of Ukraine to identify the locations of its employees. The convicted individual also identified the locations of military units in the Zaporizhzhia region and critical infrastructure facilities, documenting the consequences of missile strikes on the regional center.

The collected intelligence data was sent via messenger to her godmother—a collaborator from the occupied territory—who subsequently passed it on to the enemy.

The girl was detained by law enforcement and is currently in custody by court order.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia region.
